The basis for effortless coping

leave a comment »

I guess every one of us has been in difficult situations!

While trying to solve a problem  there are of course a lot ot things going on. When things are not working out in a nice way my focus is many times  wrongly directed. My thinking might be in constructive. My feeling might be in turmoil and so on.

What is actually going on? What must and could be changed?

Of course constructive coping is dependent upon resources in general. Your potential with regards to cognitive capabillity, your experiences, your back up system around you and so on.

Still what is the most important aspect?

The mental space is an imagined room where the psyche “is working”. If this space is filled with to much turmoil, we can call it inner stress, the work is poorly carried out.

Stress management is essential! Actually it is not a matter of a momentarily coping but a continues coping.

We need to keep our mental space free from inner stress!

The “suchness” of a problem

leave a comment »

Coping is intensely connected to the question about the “suchness” of a problem. If we would not encounter any problems there would be no need to create coping skills.

What is then the “suchness” of a problem?

Wikipedia defines it like this: “A problem is an obstacle which makes it difficult to achieve a desired goal, objective or purpose. It refers to a situation, condition, or issue that is yet unresolved. In a broad sense, a problem exists when an individual becomes aware of a significant difference between what actually is and what is desired. Every problem asks for an answer or solution”.

In every day living almost everybody might agree upon this definition although some philosophers might have a slightly different point of view.

“Every problem asks for a solution”!

How to solve problems is the question?

Coping is closely connected to problem solving.

I will focus upon the important question how to cope and how to do it with less energy spent.

I will also discuss the intriguing fact that having no problems means no need for coping skills.

Is having no problems and there by no need for coping skills the most prominent coping skill?

Is having the most “prominent coping skill” like generally having constructive coping skills in any situation!?

What is the “anatomy of coping”?
